• German solar technologies in a workshop in Asharqia Chamber

    On Sunday, April 7, 2019, Asharqia Chamber and in cooperation with the German-Saudi Economic Affairs Office (AHK)​ organized a workshop on "Future Investment in Renewable Energy in the Kingdom" in addition to the latest German technologies used in solar energy, which will be presented by Quentin Blumert, a Consultant at the German-Saudi Liaison Office, and Mr. Rabee Abi Saab, General Manager of Saudi Fichtner Company, at the headquarter of the Chamber at 10 am.

     

    The workshop will shed light on a number of topics related to the German technologies used in solar energy and the investment opportunities available in it and the successful experiences of their uses within the Kingdom, as well as opportunities to export solar energy products outside the Kingdom's borders and the strategy that used to increase reliance on alternative energy and the experience of Fichtner in the alternative energy industry in the Kingdom and presented a variety of experiments on the uses of solar energy.

     

    The Kingdom has made significant progress in the global solar index and has been ranked among the most attractive countries in the renewable energy sector.

    In fact, the country in accordance with the Vision of 2030 is planning to export solar energy during the next ten years.

    In March 2018, the largest solar project was announced in cooperation with Softbank.​​
